RSS Chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat to Address Youth Conference in Siliguri Today

 

Siliguri, Thursday, 18 December : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat is scheduled to address a Youth Conference in Siliguri today as part of the organisation’s nationwide centenary celebrations. The event will be held at Shatabdi Sadan on Sevoke Road and is being organised by the RSS Uttarbanga Prant.

Youth participants from eight districts of North Bengal, along with delegates from neighbouring Sikkim, are expected to attend the conference. Dr Bhagwat, who arrived in Siliguri on Wednesday, is slated to address the gathering at around 10:00 am.

Extensive preparations have been undertaken for the programme, with hundreds of volunteers and organisers involved in managing the event. The venue and stage have been fully readied, and a large turnout of young participants—both boys and girls aged between 15 and 35 years—has been reported since early morning.

The Youth Conference is part of a series of events being conducted across the country to commemorate 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Founded in 1925 on the occasion of Vijayadashami by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS was established with the objective of organising Hindu society and contributing to the development of a disciplined, united, and resilient nation.

As the organisation enters its centenary year, the RSS continues to underscore its commitment to nation-building and social development, guided by the foundational ideals and values envisioned by its founder.
